The DeWalt® Electric Bulb Planter relieves stress in key areas of the body while planting bulbs.
Using a manual bulb planter puts strain on shoulders, elbows and wrists. With the DeWalt® Electric Bulb Planter, simply squeeze the trigger like a normal drill to start the rotation of the toothed cone.
At the desired depth, pull the bulb planter up. The tapered cone will keep dirt inside planter. After dropping in the bulb, simply press the thumb trigger to release the dirt back into the hole.
When diagnosed with a concussion, a patient is given a stack of papers discussing what a concussion is and generally how to handle it. This packet is very confusing and hard to understand for a patient who has just experienced a traumatic brain injury. That’s where the Concussion Rehabilitation System comes in. Instead of receiving a large packet, the patient receives one piece of paper describing in general, what a concussion is. This piece of paper then directs the patient to the website, booklet and mobile application where everything is simplified so the patient can understand what he/she is reading.
Each concussion injury is unique. People may have one or two symptoms, or they may have all of them. Therefore, the system can be tailored to the individual. Splitting the system up by symptoms allows each person to learn and combat each symptom effectively.
The combination of education from the website and the booklet with the exercising component from the mobile application creates a holistic recovery program that patients can do on their own time.
This system is not intended to self-diagnose concussions. Seeing the proper physician is paramount on the road to recovering from a traumatic brain injury.
The Scout III is a new take on a fairly classic watch style. It emulates the feel of a hot-rod car without forgetting that it's a watch first, and an homage second. This watch appeals to both watch lovers and gear heads without making any compromises.
Using premium materials without being outrageously expensive, and taking advantage of modern machining technologies and practices, the Scout III pushes conventional watchmaking forward symbolizing the same spirit as the original hot rod crews did with their Fords.
With a number of finishing options, this design can be tweaked to target various niche cultures within the car community. This lends to the potential of limited run special editions.
This level of detail and uniqueness in a watch, especially a US made one, typically demands a very high price. However, by using the robust and accurate Swiss movement, more attention can be directed solely to the domestically manufactured case. All of these aspects come together to make a watch that is far less expensive than its contemporaries while still offering a level of refinement befitting an entry level luxury watch.
Project DAWN is a community based overdose education and naloxone distribution program. Naloxone is a drug that is designed to partially or completely reverse the effects of opioid overdose. The delivery device for the drug utilizes a Mucosal Atomization Device (MAD), which atomizes the medication into a mist. The drug is absorbed directly into the patient's blood stream avoiding first-pass metabolism where it is then absorbed directly into the brain and cerebrospinal fluid via olfactory mucosa.
Overdose is currently the leading cause of accident related death in the United States. Deaths dropped by 20% in Chicago the year the program started and an additional 10% the second year. House Bill 170 was recently passed in Ohio which allows doctors to prescribe Naloxone. It was with this bill that Project DAWN was born.
The newly designed dispenser comes with the naloxone already loaded into the device. It also features dual nasal dispensers cutting the time to administer in half since the drug needs to be sprayed in each nostril.
Meet Peg. Peg suffers from severe Rheumatoid arthritis in her hands. This renders her incapable of feeding herself with normal silverware. She wants to be independent, but due to the deformity in her hands she is unable to properly grasp and use a normal spoon.
Designing a new spoon was paramount. The spoon needed to be light weight, conform to her hand, thin and limit or eliminate spillage.
The final design was 3D printed in titanium which features a 3/4 inch space beneath the handle to give room for her fingers so she could pick up the utensil off the table. The head of the spoon is angled towards her so it requires far less twist of the wrist in order to use. A spork variant was also designed.
The Clamp Iron is designed for people who live in small apartments and college students who don't have the space for a traditional ironing set up.
The main design goal was to eliminate or diminish the need for the ironing board. It also had to be simple to use with minimal controls, and have a fast setup for quick ironing jobs.
This is a concept for a mobile application designed for McDonald's. In the App a person can save his/her "usual" order for quicker ordering in the future. Credit Card info and all special orders can be saved. This in turn cuts down wait time inside the restaurant and in the drive-through line making customers happier and driving more sales for McDonald's.
